Backstitch is a bright and inspiring fabric and haberdashery store where sewing machines hum and crafters chitter chatter.

There are currently 3 crochet classes available to book via the Backstitch website:

Start Crochet Class - This class will get you started with crochet. The 3 hour course will equip you with all the basics of crocheting in a relaxed environment. You will learn the following: chain stitch, slip stitch, double crochet, half treble, treble and double treble stitch - plus we'll cover the differences between US and UK terminology and hook sizes.
Granny Squares Class - Come along to create your own crochet classic - the granny square - the most iconic of all crochet motifs and such a great crochet project for beginners and advanced beginners alike. Granny squares covered in the class are the basic granny square, the solid granny square and the flower granny square.
Textured Stitches Class - Join us for a creative crochet class where you'll learn to master some of the most versatile and eye-catching textured stitches, perfect for adding depth to your projects. In this class, we'll cover techniques such as: the puff, bobble, popcorn, basketweave and waffle stitches. Once you've mastered these stitches, you'll be able to incorporate them into blankets, scarves and many other projects, elevating your crochet to the next level!
